Fedora Core 5 Reaches End-of-Life

July 3, 2007 12:42 PM

The Fedora Project has officially announced the end-of-life for Fedora Core 5. At this time, no additional updates will be issued.

If you're currently running a FC 5 server, don't panic. We strongly recommend, however, that you start considering a move to a current OS. Running products that have reached their EOL are fine, until a critical security issue is discovered. With the product no longer supported no update will be available. This leaves your server open and vulnerable---something you never want to do.

If you need assistance putting together a migration plan, talk to us. We can help!
