Need an offsite backup? We can help! Our rackBACK service sets up regularly scheduled backups of your data and transfers it to our mirrored storage array using rsync over an SSH secured connection. Using our scripts, you can backup your server automatically. We currently support Cobalt Raq, Ensim and Plesk servers.

rackBACK for Plesk

We have developed a script that works in conjunction with Plesk's psadump utility. We do a full psadump and than transfer this data via rsync/SSH to the backup server. The script is scheduled via cron to provide automated backups. You can restore site information be loading the backup files via psarestore. Every time a backup completes, you will receive an email reporting the date and size of the backup.

rackBACK for Ensim

We have developed a PERL-based script that works in conjunction with Ensim's vhbackup utility. This is the same backup utility used via the control panel interface. In addition to site information, we backup MySQL and DNS information. The script is scheduled via cron to provide automated backups. You can restore site information be loading the backup files into the restoration utility in the Ensim control panel. Every time a backup completes, you will receive an email reporting the date and size of the backup.

rackBACK for Cobalt RaQs

We use a modified version of the freely available raqbackup.sh program from neuhaus internet. We modify the script to use rsync via an SSH encrypted transfer session. The script provides a backup for user web sites, MySQL, DNS, and custom directories. The backup can be restored using the Cobalt CMU utility, thus restoring your sites and control panel information. Every time a backup completes, you will receive an email reporting the date and size of the backup.
